OPENING OUR “40 WOMEN, 40 WORKS” EXHIBITION ON THE 40TH YEAR

The works produced by women were exhibited in the workshops created within the scope of the “40 Women 40 Artworks in the 40th Anniversary” project, which we started with inspiration from the 40th anniversary of our university and carried out by our Social Responsibility Center together with the Women's Issues Application and Research Center.

In the opening speech of the exhibition at the Balkan Congress Center, Martyr Painter Hasan Rıza Vocational School Director and Social Responsibility Application and Research Center Director Assoc. Dr. Semiha KARTAL stated that 10 workshops were created in order to reveal the productive and guiding characteristics of women participating in the project.

Women's Issues Application and Research Center Director Assoc. Dr. Esma MIHLAYANLAR stated that they aim to reveal the cultural and artistic skills and talents of women in the project.

Our University Rector Prof. Dr. Erhan TABAKOĞLU, in his speech, said that the first TÜBAP-supported project carried out jointly by the Social Responsibility Application and Research Center and the Women's Issues Application and Research Center was implemented.

Stating that the project is exciting, Prof. Dr. Erhan TABAKOĞLU said, “In the 40th year, there were 40 ladies and 40 works would be revealed. We wanted to mobilize social responsibilities that would unite the university and the city. For this purpose, we established a social responsibility center.” prof. Dr. Erhan TABAKOĞLU said that when he visited the workshops with his wife, they witnessed the excitement of the teachers and students.

Rector of our university, who stated that the trainees produced very beautiful works in a short time, stated that this project is a pilot project that embraces the city and the University and touches hearts, and that can continue in different fields.

After the speeches, our University Rector Prof. Dr. Erhan TABAKOĞLU, Assoc. Dr. Semiha KARTAL, Assoc. Dr. Esma MIHLAYANLAR and her guests, cut the opening ribbon and toured the exhibition.

After the exhibition, certificates were presented to our women who participated in the “40 Women, 40 Works in 40th Anniversary” project. After the presentation, a film prepared for this project was shown to our trainees, including their own images. In the event held, our valuable participants enjoyed a lot and expressed that they achieved good results by working within the scope of the two-day event and that they were very happy with the exhibition of the result products. Finally, a group photo shoot was held with all our participants. All participants thanked our esteemed teachers for taking part in such an event.
