TRAKYA UNIVERSITY SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY IMPLEMENTATION AND RESEARCH CENTER REGULATION

FIRST PART

Purpose, Scope, Basis and Definitions

Aim

 ARTICLE 1 – (1) The purpose of this Regulation; To regulate the procedures and principles regarding the purpose, fields of activity, administrative bodies, duties and working methods of Trakya University Social Responsibility Application and Research Center.

 Scope

 ARTICLE 2 – (1) This Regulation covers the provisions regarding the purpose, fields of activity, management bodies of Trakya University Social Responsibility Application and Research Center, and the duties and working methods of these management bodies.

 Rest

ARTICLE 3 – (1) This Regulation has been prepared on the basis of sub-clause (2) and article 14 of sub-clause (d) of the first paragraph of Article 7 of the Higher Education Law dated 4/11/1981 and numbered 2547.

Definitions

ARTICLE 4 – (1) In this Regulation;

 a) Advisory Board: Advisory Board of the Center,

b) Center: Trakya University Social Responsibility Application and Research Center,

 c) Director: The Director of the Center,

ç) Rector: Trakya University Rector,

 d) University: Trakya University,

e) Administrative Board: It means the Administrative Board of the Center.

SECOND PART

The Center's Purpose and Fields of Activity

 The purpose of the center

 ARTICLE 5 – (1) The purpose of the centre; By directing the academic staff, students and administrative staff of the university to various social responsibility projects that they may be interested in, primarily to improve the living conditions of disadvantaged social groups such as children, the elderly and the disabled, to ensure integration by bringing them into social life as useful individuals, and to disseminate them in the society by conducting scientific research, application and education studies. .

 

Areas of activity of the center

ARTICLE 6 – (1) The activities of the Center are as follows:

a) To develop social responsibility projects by enabling the active participation of the relevant segments in a way that will primarily contribute to the social, cultural and economic development of disadvantaged social groups such as children, the elderly and the disabled.

b) To carry out educational programs and publications to raise awareness of the society, primarily children and young people, in the field of democratic governance and social responsibility, to organize events in the fields of craft, arts, sports, social and cultural activities, to participate in and support similar projects.

c) To ensure that new projects are carried out or take part in existing projects in cooperation with other centers and other units of the university and with national or international institutions and organizations within the scope of the provisions of the relevant legislation.

 ç) To ensure participation in exchange programs aimed at increasing the savings of disadvantaged groups and young people within the framework of cooperation with similar projects abroad.

d) To provide students with the opportunity of professional practice through social responsibility projects.

e) To provide supportive education and training to increase the capacity of university students and administrative staff in the field of social responsibility and to ensure their harmony.

 f) To develop and implement new projects on social responsibility issues to be approved by the Board of Directors.

 g) To carry out other activities to be determined by the Board of Directors.

THIRD PART

Governing Bodies and Duties of the Center

The governing bodies of the center

ARTICLE 7 – (1) The governing bodies of the Center are as follows:

a) Director.

 b) Board of Directors.

 c) Advisory Board.

Manager

ARTICLE 8 – (1) The Director is appointed by the Rector for three years from among the University teaching staff related to the field of activity of the Center. The Director whose term has expired may be reassigned. Manager; He is primarily responsible to the Rector for the regular execution of the activities in line with the goals of the Center, the supervision and control of all the activities of the Center, and taking the necessary measures in these matters.

 (2) With the recommendation of the Director, at most two persons from among the academic staff working at the University related to the field of activity of the Center are appointed by the Rector as the deputy directors to assist the Director in his work.

 (3) When the Director is not on duty, he deputizes one of his assistants. If the mandate lasts for more than six months, a new Director is appointed. When the manager's duty ends, the duties of his assistants also end.

 Manager's duties and responsibilities

ARTICLE 9 – (1) The duties of the director are as follows:

a) To represent the Center, to preside over the Board of Directors and Advisory Board.

b) To make assignments required by the work of the Center.

c) To submit the report on the general situation and operation of the Center to the Rector at the end of each academic year and when requested, after receiving the opinion of the Board of Directors.

 ç) To implement the decisions of the Board of Directors within the framework of the provisions of this Regulation.

 Board of Directors

 ARTICLE 10 – (1) Board of Directors; The Director consists of a deputy director to be determined by the Rector and five members appointed by the Rector for three years from among the teaching staff related to the work area of ​​the Center, a total of seven members. A member whose term has expired can be reassigned. A new member is appointed in the same way to complete the remaining term in place of the member who leaves his/her position for any reason. (

2) The Board of Directors meets with absolute majority at least four times a year or, when necessary, extraordinarily, upon the call of the Director, and decisions are taken by majority vote. In case of equality of votes, the majority in the direction of the Director's vote is deemed to have been achieved.

 Duties of the Board of Directors

ARTICLE 11 – (1) The duties of the Board of Directors are as follows:

a) To decide on social responsibility project applications related to the work of the Center, to ensure that plans and programs are prepared and implemented in this regard.

b) To prepare the annual activity reports of the Center and present them to the Rectorate.

 c) Evaluating and deciding on requests for issues such as education, practice, research, consultancy and publication.

ç) When necessary, to establish temporary working groups related to the activities of the Center and to regulate their duties.

 d) To determine the basic principles, principles and procedures of social responsibility projects to be carried out jointly with public and private institutions at home and abroad.

 e) To evaluate and decide on the issues that the Director will bring to the agenda regarding the management of the Center.

Advisory Board and its role

ARTICLE 12 – (1) Advisory Board; It consists of five members who are appointed by the Rector for a period of three years, upon the recommendation of the Board of Directors, among the academic staff of the University or, upon request, of other universities, who are experienced in the activity areas of the Center, and experts from related institutions and organizations. A new member is appointed to replace the vacant memberships with the same procedure to complete the remaining period. Members whose term has expired can be reappointed.

(2) The Advisory Board meets regularly at least once a year upon the call of the Director. If the Director deems necessary, he may call the Advisory Board to a meeting.

 (3) Duties of the Advisory Board; It is to make evaluations on the matters needed by the Board of Directors regarding the activities of the Center and to make advisory opinions and suggestions.

CHAPTER FOUR

Miscellaneous and Final Provisions

Personnel needs

ARTICLE 13 – (1) The academic, technical and administrative personnel needs of the Center are met by the personnel to be appointed by the Rector in accordance with Article 13 of the Law No. 2547.

Force

 ARTICLE 14 – (1) This Regulation enters into force on the date of its publication.

Executive

 

 ARTICLE 15 – (1) The provisions of this regulation are executed by the Rector of Trakya University.
